Meet
Bennie Poor little Bennie is so lonely and sad. Bennie came into rescue with his best friend Bridgette. Now Bridgette has been adopted into a wonderful home, and Bennie is left alone. Bennie is about 18 months old, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. He looks like a wirehaired dachshund with long legs and hair that sticks out in all directions--Bennie wouldn't win a beauty contest but he sure is cute! He is a total lovebug and super affectionate--just wants to curl up in a lap, and at less than 10 pounds he is a perfect lap dog size. But Bennie isn't just a couch potato--he also loves to play and go for walks and give kisses. He walks nicely on a leash and his housetraining is progressing very well. He ignores cats, gets along well with other dogs, and adores people. All the dogs at our shelter are much bigger than Bennie, so he has little chance of finding a new best friend there. Besides, all of our facilities are outdoor, and tiny little Bennie is not an outdoor dog. He is temporarily staying at my house because he was just neutered and I can't stand to think of the little guy going back all alone to the pen he shared with his best friend Bridgette. But with seven dogs already in my house, I can't keep Bennie here indefinitely. Please help us find a loving forever home for this tiny little fellow. He has so much love to give and asks for so little in return. If you can't adopt Bennie, please crosspost his story so we can find this sweet little guy a forever home.
